Welcome to the official Dalton J. Harrell campaign website!  Dalton wants to bring the concept of “COMMUNITY” back to the office of city council.   He has chosen to take a stand for the citizens and small business owners in District 6.  He plans to attribute to the city council his Master of Arts from the Southern University School of Public Policy, his passion for stomping out corruption, and a commitment to serving his community.  As your District 6 City Councilman, he will be committed to providing the citizens of District 6 a transparent, accountable, and accessible Fort Worth City government that we all can participate in.

What is the role of a City Council member? What is the geographic area included in district 6?
The role of City Council is similar to that of the Senate and House of Representatives on the state or Federal level. City Council forms the legislative branch of city government.  City Council creates the ordinances (local laws) that govern the city.  Some of the duties include: considering and approving the city’s annual budget, construction projects, tax rates, zoning ordinances, and many other projects and laws.
